Deputy Hatch in Frontier Days, 1934. Not sure who directed.
"Rich man? If you marry a rich man, you will only be his concubine." "Let me be a concubine. Isn't that the fate of a woman?"

I am thinking that is "Raise the Red Lantern", but only because I read this in Asian Lit. I do remember my professor saying there is a movie, but have not had a chance to see it yet. Excellent reading btw. "I'm gonna slap that sucker silly for alienation of affection! If it wasn't for me, he wouldn't know who it was! Chocolate covered yellow peril!"

Richie Green in The Last Dragon. Directed by Michael Schultz. That movie still cracks me up. It was a long pseudo-rap music video before rap was cool. And occasionally someone got punched.
"I don't cook! I'm a scary and powerful fire demon!"

That's from the movie "Big" with Tom Hanks. I'm thinking sometime in the 80's. "The Last Dragon" cracks me up too...just watched it again recently on one of those movie channels. Leroy's body is to die for. Oh! And "Howl's Moving Castle"! I have this 'thing' for handsome cartoon characters. "All the world will be your enemy, Prince of a Thousand enemies. And when they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you; digger, listener, runner, Prince with the swift warning. Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed. " This will probably give it away, but a kiss to anyone who knows who the author of the novel is! Disclaimer: Now, we didn't say a kiss by whom or what. ::snicker::

It's from New Moon, character was Allice Cullen I think. Dear god I hated that movie. Oh well.
For your consideration:
"I know a thing or two about liking people, and in time, after much chocolate and cream cake, 'like' turns into 'what was his name again?'"
