This 'might' be mine....as soon as tomorrow!!!!! 2012 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 Black forest pearl green V-6 17" Silver aluminum wheels (Or something like that ) Remote start/entry (push button...no key required!) Chrome grill Power everything! (seats, windows, mirrors) Heated mirrors...never heard of that! Sunroof!!!! Ahhhhhhhh at LAST! Dual zone front a/c Cruise control Am/fm/sirius/CD/mp3 radio with awesome sound system Steering wheel audio controls! omg! Outside temp/compass thingie Airbags all around Horsepower 290@6,400RPM (Is that good?) Torque 260@4,800RPM (Never heard of torque) A towing capacity of 5,000 lbs! Plus a bunch of other stuff I don't know about! I am definitely going to need running boards, as it's a bit difficult getting in. I kinda had to hoist myself and slide into the seat. LMAO Rand knows...I like big stuff. I had a Dodge Ram 1500 at one time, but got rid of it, went smaller with the Santa Fe, but I'm ready to trade in the crossover for a niiiiice banging SUV. With a sunroof I'm SO excited, and hoping this doesn't blow up on me as I'll be heartbroken. I probably shouldn't have said anything until well...I got it home, but well...I'm excited. I'm lusting for this car almost as much as I lust for Rand. Wish me luck!!!!

Eh, Ama is awesome, but...
Destroy ALL the environment! Why is it that America is the only country in the world that consumes so many of these monstrosities?
./me waits for various attacks from the conservative folks.

Pretty sure that's smaller and with better MPG than a Cherokee Laredo, but I could be wrong.

The V-6 gets pretty good gas mileage not really that much less than a turbo charged Subaru . So I believe Amarynth is going green compared to me . I really like the Cherokee very nice rides ,does it have the heated and cooled seats?

Se we believe in the choice to drive a vehicle that makes us feel good. We don't want someone telling us what todo, even of it might be better for us.
With that, global warming: real. No dispute. Humanity's fault? Not really.
I await Phae to totally destroy that because he probably has much more experience in this field.

Nice ride, good choice Pretty good for a V6 yes, it should have plenty of power for everyday needs and the average mud/snow use. Torque is the "gitty up and go" part of overall engine performance, unless you intend to install monster tires or enter it into the Friday Night Dragstrip every weekend, it'll be more than you'll need and should last a long time.

As Rand says, Max, another thread. Perhaps another time as well.
My master's thesis was on the false solution provided by Ethanol and the corn industry, so yeah, I've got some research into climate change in general.
Anyway, grats to Ama on having a vehicle, even if I do personally despise SUVs, which I can never see around from the perspective of my small car.

Never let a man drive a fast, durable, big vehicle.
It never ends well.
Rural drivers, FTW!

Wow....sorry to create a bit of a controversy. :/ However, I did get the car, and I love, love, love it! As far as the gas mileage, it's actually only one less (mpg) than my Santa Fe was....and the Santa Fe qualified for the cash for clunkers program three years ago, which I believe only allowed the money to be used for cars that are considered suitable for the environment. So I'm thinking that I am not harming the environment any more than anyone else is. Besides, I went from a Dodge Ram 1500 (A monster) and a mini van to the Santa Fe...that was a big step down for me. The Santa Fe wasn't a very smooth ride and somewhat...flimsy. I like to feel safe in my cars. I'm happy with my choice, less worry about getting to work in the snow, more car around me and my family in case the unthinkable happens....and a sunroof. King Wulfgar...yes, heated and cooled seats, heated side mirrors (imagine that?), and dual a/c. There's also this computer that I can set timers for the lights, radio etc, as well as tons of other stuff I don't understand yet. Doornail: Thank you! Now I understand...that's good to know.
