I don't think we went in kicking or screaming. There were already movements to help the Europeans, whether militarily or eonomicly. I'm sure FDR had a few congressmen in his sleeve that would have agreed with him. You're not elected that many times without influence. I really think you're practicing revisionist history here Max. You understand why the WW1 generation was called "The Lost Generation", and why so many people felt we needed to stop meddling in European affairs? It'd be like if President Obama came on the air tomorrow and said we were launching a full-scale invasion of Jordan or some other Muslim non-nuclear power. And we created a non-functioning nation because we wanted our shipping lanes. Panama has been an unstable, impoverished nation that takes whatever money it actually gets from canal operations and funnels it into the private banking accounts of American-designated dictators for generations now. Why do you think we put Noreiga in power? Why do you think we took him out of power? Also, not sure what else exactly you want to know about Lebanon. |

I understand that, I took basic APUSH, too. I'm not saying we were happy to go in. I'm really not. What I'm doing is refuting your claim of kicking and screaming. Is this a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation? The canal was needed one way or another, and I do not believe that was possible without US intervention.Also, not sure what else exactly you want to know about Lebanon. Neither do I, honestly. |

anyone that's under the age of 18 can be tried as an adult depending on the severity of the crime, he was not a child, he was casing the neigborhood to rob and knew that Zimmerman was on the phone to the police, he took off running and normal people don't look as if they are up to something or on drugs. Zimmerman is not a racist like the media wanted him to be...race war instigation FAIL!!
There's rumor of the case being dismissed because of the truth, if blacks riot over this it'll be cause the gooberment wants them to.
