Rand, I would usually give in to that. But there was one man Reagan admired. One man he found to be more than he, and I agree. BLESSED POPE JOHN PAUL II.

Yeah but as gentle and respectable of a fellow as he was, Reagan was still the ass-kicker.

let's get back on track guys! The reason Vader didn't destroy palpatine is not because he lacked the power to, but because he couldn't. Let me explain. The initial reason that Anakin turned to the dark side was to learn the secret of immortality, which they both discovered, as is evidenced by the images of anakin, obi-wan and yoda at the end of the last star wars movie, and the return of the Palpatine as the Reborn Emperor. Then why was vader still obeying his master? Because he was not yet prepared for the fight just yet. Palpatine deliberately had Vader's suit constructed with imperfections, to limit Vader's power. The only time Vader could take his helmet of was in his hyperbaric chamber, or he would die instantly. Vader knew that Palpatine's main weapon was force lightning which would short out his suit, thus killing him. So until Vader could take his suit off, he couldn't overthrow the emperor. It's my opinion that Vader would have overthrown the emperor eventually. First: he tried to get Luke to help him destroy palpatine. Second: Whenever vader had a spare moment, vader practiced taking off his helmet and using his enormous rage to keep himself alive for long periods of time. So, Vader would definitely be able to kick palp's butt, which would mean he could kick yoda's too ;D

First, no one discovered immortality. Palpatine cheated death with a clone: immortality is the absence of death, not the resurrection from it. Second, the images of fallen Jedi is not immortality. These Jedi are dead; if they were immortal, they'd still be alive.
I agree, Vader could destroy Palpatine at any time. Oh, wait: he did. He killed him, remember? But just because he beat him does not mean he could beat Yoda.
I believe Yoda would win against Vader regardless of the situation. Pre or post barbeque, pre or post Order 66. The sheer number of years plus Yoda's immense power would overtake Vader, regardless of midichlorian count.

Yes, they are dead in a sense, but they aren't in a way. They became "One with the Force", which means they can walk around, show up to people, and such. Becoming one with the force, is kind of like sleeping. You aren't dead, but you aren't alive. Palpatine was able to reincarnate himself into a clone, because he didn't really die, he just became one with the force. On account of midi-cholorians, I know that many of us don't consider them cannon, but you have to consider this: the creator of SW has said that midi-cholorians are the standards by which a jedi can manipulate the force. So, with more than 20,000 midi's, Vader is undoubtedly more powerful than yoda. Couple that with the years and years that vader has spent studying holocrons and manuscripts makes him Yoda's equal, at the very least. Case in point: It is very, very, VERY rare for a force user, even the most accomplished force user to be able to absorb a blaster bolt like vader is able to You do have good points max, and I do enjoy bantering with you
