I'm even more glad that I chose the Apparatus because here we have a great community of Star Wars fans, like me. Anyway, with Star Wars VII coming up in a few years, who does everyone think should direct it?
Personally, I think JJ Abrams would make a great director. He brought a great direction to the 2009 Star Trek movie, and made it fresh and exciting without deviating too much from the original characters. I know he's already said he wouldn't, but who knows? Anyway, let's hear your thoughts!

That seems logical. I've heard suggestions for Spielberg, but I don't think his style (which I admire) would match Star Wars.

God imagine if Tarantino DID make the next Star Wars movie? Come to think of it, imagine an Inglourious Basterds type story, but set in the Star Wars universe? Like, a small squad of Rebels who brutally assassinate Imperial Moffs and Generals. That sounds interesting actually, I'd watch it.

If the actors are even marginally better than in the last three movies, I might actually watch. Actually, since I don't really follow Star Wars, I'm surprised to see there's more on the way. Challenge: Hype it up to a NON star wars junkie like me--make me want to see it.

No BigKif, it's called Star Trek Into Darkness. It's the sequel to the 2009 Star Trek. It's Kirk, but in an alternate universe, played by Chris Pine, who I think did the role pretty well.

Same with all the characters. Abrams did an excellent job finding the proper people for the proper roles.

Agree with ya there. I was pleasantly surprised--I'd fallen a bit out of love with Trek for a while there. I hadn't even planned on seeing that '09 Trek remake, but kept hearing about how great it was, even to folks who weren't originally Trek fans--so I caved and saw it.
Several times. @.@
I'm still a little leary about this next Trek flick, though. I'll be disappointed if I don't like it as well as the last one. LOL

Star Wars, IMO, has been going downhill but I still can't help but watch them. I would have some fun with it and go with John Favreau.
Star Trek has to be Kirk. I think we drank beer and laughed and watched every old rerun through my 4 years in college. Just so fun to watch and play drinking games to.
