Famous, infamous, movies, IRC, anything that tickles your fancy. Even more fun, if it's a famous quote, guess who it's from. "The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'"

Ah, good old Ronnie Raygun. Said government was the problem, then he got elected and proved it.

I'm a man. <Elbryan[AzN]> ...slow to learn this one is... <Xochiquetzal> Just because I can discuss gymnastics and figure skating and length and I'm an active participant in musical theater and... <Xochiquetzal> ...you know I see your point.

"It's not that the Irish are cynical. It's simply that they have a wonderful lack of respect for everything and everybody." - Brendan Behan
"I think the Irish woman was freed from slavery by bingo. They can go out now, dressed up, with their handbags and have a drink and play bingo. And they deserve it." - Author John B. Keane

A personal favorite.... "Good writing is supposed to evoke sensation in the reader--not the fact that it is raining, but the feeling of being rained upon." -E.L. Doctorow Oh..and of course this.... Edward: And so the lion fell in love with the lamb. Isabella: What a stupid lamb. Edward: What a sick, masochistic lion. I know..cheesy. Can't help it, I'm a romantic and a Twilight fanatic. ::sitting here wrapped in her Edward blanket:: Rand can vouch for me.

Twilight, ahh... I'm trying very hard not to comment right now. ^^;

While we're on the topic of epic translation failure...
"DO NOT WANT!" - Darth Vader
...was pretty epic.

Ah..one of my favorite poets from Modern Poetry class... "My candle burns at both ends; it will not last the night; but ah, my foes, and oh, my friends - it gives a lovely light!" -Edna St. Vincent Millay Let us not forget Sappho from Greek and Roman Lit! "For if she flees, soon she'll pursue, she doesn't accept gifts, but she'll give, if not now loving, soon she'll love even against her will." And Xochi..you are doing very well not commenting on Twilight.

Poetry, is it?
And on the pedestal these words appear: `My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings: Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!' Nothing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare, The lone and level sands stretch far away.
(I actually wound up breaking up with my last girlfriend over not biting my tongue about Twilight. But Cosmina totally instigated it. Made me read it, then made me discuss it with her. And then when I didn't like it she freaked out, and my defense was, "I'm not a twelve year old girl." Which offended her a lot more than I meant it to.
Besides I got out most of my biting commentary in the theater.)

Ahhh Shelley!!!
Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay. --Robert Frost
(Another favorite. I did a paper on that poem and did very, very well. I will never forget the little note at the bottom of the page. "Excellent. Your writing is sophisticated and mechanically sound." Actually I do not think I have ever done 'badly' on a paper. Hm, except maybe the last history paper, I think I got a 'b' or a 'b-' on it. lol
Sorry to hear about the breakup. I am far from the age of twelve but I...enjoy...vampires. Immensely. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion.)

'God save thee, ancient Mariner! From the fiends, that plague thee thus! Why look'st thou so ?' With my cross-bow I shot the albatross.
Eh. Cosmina's a nice girl but it was never going to go very far. I wrote her a sad song about Bucharest (where she's from) and we did things in inappropriate places for awhile. Really though, doomed from the start. I mean, she listens to Barry Manilow...
I do love me some Robert Frost, although every so often I feel like he uses the same introductions all the time...
