Revan would be a great challenge for Luke. No doubt. Revan disappeared and supposedly they don't know how he died. Revan was an excellent Sith and Jedi though. You asked for the best force user, Luke only mastered one side of the Force primarily, Revan mastered both sides of the Force.

actually, Luke mastered both sides of the force as well. He learned the light side from obi-wan and Yoda, and the dark from palatine. Besides, he discovers innumerable secrets of the force by himself and from sith and Jedi holocrons.
Luke cannot only hide himself in the force, but he can hide himself from certain people, and also teleport objects through the force. Beat that!!!

He didn't officially master the ways of the Sith though. Revan was a Dark Lord of the Sith (highest ranking Sith at his time) and a Jedi Master on the flip side. Plus he discovered and read things from both Sith and Jedi Holocrons as well. And he could do numerous things with his powers as well.

I'm gonna agree here. AFAIK, George Lucas, love him or hate him, he's still the creator -- he has hinted before that he *MIGHT* consider Zahn's work (HTE, DFR, TLC) as canon. Nothing else in the books is remotely canon. If you just look at the movies, Luke has NO shot at being the best. It's gotta be either Yoda or Palpatine, and since Palpatine wins (in Yoda's lifetime at least, and beats Yoda in 1-on-1 combat in at least one contest) -- I say he's gotta be the most powerful. Now if you include Zahn's work, as I'm inclined to do (given the relative superiority of his writing to say the Jedi Academy or Black Fleet Crisis trilogies), then Luke starts to have a shot at the title... NOT however because he got lucky that Palpatine was already ancient himself by that point, had already taken all that long-term damage fighting Mace Windu and Yoda, and got surprised by Vader (when we all know he *should* have sensed him coming if you apply later force dynamics). It'd be because by the time he gets through to fighting Thrawn and those folks, he'd had significant time training alone and working on starting to train Leia -- he was a full Jedi Master with his own Padowan by that point... you can't be a true master if you aren't teaching an apprentice of some kind.

time to bring george lukas into this Lucas has stated that Anakin Skywalker was the most powerful force user potentially ever, the only reason he wasn't the most powerful is becuase he lost so much of his bodyt. And he also said that Luke became what Anakin would have if he hadn't gone to the dark side. Lukas also has said that it is possible that Anakin AND Luke could be the Chosen One, as they both fulfill the prophecy. So, because anakin wasn't the most powerful, luke HAS to be.

There wouldn't be a Luke without an Anakin. And Anakin is the Chosen One because he ends Palpatine and redeems himself, ending the Sith according to the movies. Palpatine had clones though in what is probably not considered canon. Luke would be considered the Chosen one if you go past the movies because he actually brings an end to Palpatine and the True Sith until former Jedi Master A'Sharad Hett fell to the Dark Side as Darth Krayt, one of the Solo boys turned too and became Caedus as well. But again, not following the movies, so don't listen to that if you don't want. Anakin is the Chosen One when going by the movie line of thought.

So, uh, I played KotOR 1 and 2 a long time ago. Pretty cool games, actually. If I hadn't given my PS 2 to a coworker, I might be tempted to bust those games back out again, if I had some extra time on my hands. Which I don't... which is probably why I gave my coworker the PS2 in the first place. @.@ Anyway... I always played Revan as a female in those games. Sorry man, but I had to do it.

I knew I liked you for a reason. Seriously. If it was ever in a movie, who'd expect it besides us? Awesome little twist, if you ask me. It'd get me to watch more Star Wars. LMAO

Female Jedi really got underplayed in the movies, and Amidala is pretty much a throw-away character... a damsel in distress who decides to make note of the destruction of the Republic, rather than actually do anything about it.
Says something about George Lucas' character that Mon Mothma wasn't the leader of the Rebel Alliance until RTJ, and before that, pretty much the only female character was Leia, who, while having some street smarts and physical capabilities, still always needed a man to save her.
Tim Zahn gave us Mara Jade, the first truly interesting (and independently powerful) female character in the Star Wars saga, imo.

and I hate that they had Mara killed off in Legacy of the Force. And by none other than Jacen Solo.

LMAO OMG you were talking about KOTOR and said movie in the same sentence, that would be freaking amazing if they made a movie based on the events before, during and after KOTOR.
