I'm in a post "The Hunger Games" slump...so....
"The Seduction of Sebastian St. James" by Rachel Van Dyken.
Typical 18th century period romance novel. The Angelic Duke agrees to pretend he is affianced to the lovely Lady Emma with the understanding that at the end of the season they each get to choose the groom/bride for the other...all the while fighting their own budding feelings for each other. Trouble is brewing, as the Lady's past catches up with her.....
Sensual in a surprisingly not too blatant manner. Lots of anticipation, which I enjoy immensely. Good, light reading....

Well, Leadership Lessons of Ronald Reagan, Black Hawk Down, and The Scarlet and the Black.
I've got some more scholarly ones that are more on and off.

Star Wars: Riptide (There is no better genre on earth than STAR WARS!!!)
Hitler: Nemisis I know, I know, we're not in the school room, but this is hands down a very interesting look into Hitler.

Ha-Joon Chang - Kicking away the ladder: Development strategy in historical perspective
I have War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy too, but I can't seem to read two books unless there is a lot of correlation :/

War an Peace. Good choice! Have you ever read 1984?

I haven't read 1984 yet. Kind of have a shared library/collection of books with my father, and since he has that book I'll read it once I'm done with my own collection
Any other books you could suggest to me?
I'm not that familiar with the 'classics', and I don't want to spend the time in reading through all of them so a small selection would be great.

I recently read the new book "I Robot, to Protect". It's an authorized trilogy, prequel, in the Isaac Asimov series. It features Susan Calvin as a young woman with her first introduction to the laws of robotics.
Excellent book.
I am currently rereading Carol Nelson Douglas' "Dancing with Werewolves". A funky paranormal investigator type book.
I have also been reading the Area 51 novel set that has been quite interesting. Military SF can stretch the bounds of reality quite well at times.
I think a lot of what you should read should depend on what you like to read. I love browsing the free or very low cost Smashwords e-books on my Nook. I've found some really well done stuff there. And such a variety it keeps me and my budget happy.

I like RA Salvatore books myself, but if you are into moderate/heavy reading I suggest ... Swan Song by Robert R. McCammon written in 1987 I do believe . Stephen Kings the stand was OK but swan song was 5x better.

I still go into twitching convulsions at the mere sight of Brave New World I could not force myself past chapter three, and even at that, I don't remember what I'd read up to that point. Now, I liked 1984, oddly enough. I'm pondering looking for chariots of the gods for a guilty ipad pleasure. Thoughts?

I find myself not reading much since I finished the last book in the "Song of Fire and Ice" series. Also known as a Game of Thrones. Open to suggestions if anyone has any.
