As I mentioned in the other thread (common thing, isn't it), a true partnership of charity and welfare should be sought out faithfully.
But like I said, welfare needs fixed, as I know numerous people back home in little old Sterling who should have never even been considered for welfare.
Rant, rant, rant.

Does anyone have any idea how much people on welfare "make"? I actually personally don't -- however, Google found me this helpful 2011 nation-wide study, which is actually from one of the least-partisan economic think tanks I know of: www.cbpp.org/cms/index.cfm?fa=view&id=3498&emailView=1Amongst other things, it states: I'm sure some of these people you saw on welfare really didn't deserve it... welfare fraud is indeed a real problem. However, on $216 a month, do you really think you could live while supporting a wife and a kid? I wouldn't want to try... and yet, for some people, welfare is all they have. I have a hard time saying that $216 a month is excessive, unless, again, people are outright lying about their status.

So... how bout Santorum's latest treachery against his own party? Sour grapes, I say. If he doesn't get the nomination, we'll be better off voting for Obama again, over Romney? Wow. Funny he should be the one with the mental malfunction to say something like that--I was actually thinking the same thing about HIM.

I wanted to wait until tonight, and here I am.
Santorum, I think, creatively "broke" Reagan's 11th Commandment: "Thou shall not speak ill of fellow Republicans." He's labeled Romney as equally bad--even liberal--as the President.
Which leads me to think, did Santorum even break No. 11? Is Romney as conservative as he'd have us think?
Regardless, it doesn't matter, at least today. Mr. Santorum won Louisiana. Yay!

I'm not a fan of Romney, but to call Obama better than him, that was just dangerous. He might not be as conservative as he's trying to pass off, but he's not Obama. Santorum went from saying, a Republican in office is better than Obama, to if I can't have the nomination, no one can. lol Way to sabotage the cause, Santorum. Instead of working with the obvious front-runner, let's make it a breeze for the democrats to hold their ground. Hell, let's help 'em out by flat out endorsing Obama before the Republican nod is even given. This election makes me ill, to be honest. We got NO good alternative stepping up, and the ones who are still on the stage are too busy cannibalizing each other to figure out how to whomp on the media darling socialist and get us out of this handbasket. Had I already asked why you're so fond of Santorum even after his little sabotage maneuver?? LOL I'm surprised to see it, really, after you so aptly pointed out his 11th commandment heresy?

Romney indeed has the clear majority of delegates. But after reading a bit here and there I'm convinced there will be no clear and obvious front runner till June. If its still anyone's game then why would I work with my opponent.
I like Santorum because of his ideals and because, unlike Romney, you can tell he is the opposite of Obama.
And I'm still not convinced he broke 11. I'm not convinced Romney is conservative.
Santorum's little stunt seemed to work: 46% percent I think of Louisana went to him. We'll wait and see.

Romney's still running Republican. Just because he may or may not be conservative enough (Dr. Evil voice), Santorum still said a bad thing about a fellow Republican. When Romney gets the nod, all the Obama camp has to do is run sound bites of other Repubs, Santorum and others, going to town against Romney. And if Santorum by any stretch manages to get it, I may have to go into hiding. We're screwed, man, no matter which of these yo-yo's gets it. Admit it. LOL

I dunno. I didn't like the field to being with. And maybe I'm being way too optimistic and a little naive, but I'm really hoping Santorum gets it. I think he'll pull out too.
And I wouldn't disagree with him: I wouldn't trust Romney as far as I could throw him.

Don't trust 'im either, but where did I ask about Santorum's bestiality comment? I know I asked, but it's been a while, I can't remember where I put it or where you answered it already...

By looking at the whole quote in context, he specifically states he's not comparing the two. Even the quote by itself still differentiates the two.
So, no, I don' think he connected the two like the media would have us believe.

The two don't even belong in the same sentence together in casual conversation. More backpeddling?
Not that I like the media in the slightest, either. They're the ones who helped put Obama into office in the first place.
But politicians, no matter what side of the fence they're on, are slimeballs, and this litter-pick of Republicans we have to pick from are no exception.
I'm gonna start a campaign to write in Mickey Mouse for President. lol

Oh, c'mon, Rand. You didn't like Reagan?
Any way, he was trying to make the point that they weren't the same.

Unforunatly, it doesn't matter who gets the nomination, the deck has been stacked and our election process is just a sham to make the sleeping public think they are electing somebody.
Watch this video and judge for yourself
He's just a puppet/mouthpiece doing what he's told, there's absolutly no way he got into office with his brains..no, he was placed.
We've all been fooled and it's time to wake up, as much as I hate to say it.. It's a battle between good and evil, with evil being in control..expect WW3, a racial civil war in the US or both, anyway to divide and conquer to keep the powers that be in control of the sheep which is the American people.
I skipped over this thread pretty fast, but I'll comment on a couple points.. they wont take our guns, it's the ammo they are after, guns are useless without bullets.
That welfare of 200+ dollars is per person, so a family of 6 should receive over 1K per month, that breaks down to about 7 dollars per day per person. which doesn't seem like alot, but when you take into account the sheer number of people drawing, it's alot and unsustainable.
